Madison Square Garden Renovations

October 24th, 2013

By: Vanessa

Madison Square Garden in NYC, NY is undergoing some new renovations.   Phase 1 of one of the world’s most famous arenas was completed two years ago.  And earlier this week, Madison Square Garden revealed photos of the most recent updates.

The newest renovations include Chase Bridges, suspended from the world famous ceiling.  These walkways and seating sections give spectators a unique view of the games or events below.

The bridges (a north and south bridge) will seat 450 viewers of the Knicks and Rangers games and selects concerts or events.  The bridges are suspended using over 20 steel tube hangers. In total, the bridges weigh 662 tons.
