BigRentz Partners with Skyworks and The Bushwick Collective to Transform the Streets of New York
August 26, 2015 – Irvine, CA – BigRentz, the nation’s leading online construction equipment rental business, announced their collaboration with New York-based equipment rental company, Skyworks Equipment Rental, to donate equipment to be used in the production of the world-famous Bushwick Collective’s latest mural in Brooklyn, New York.
The curator of the collective is Joseph Ficalora, a Bushwick native who decided to transform the streets of his urban community into a gallery of street art after the tragic deaths of his mother and father. What began as a single mural in tribute to Ficalora’s mother, has grown into an international sensation, and now features well-known artists from around the world who come to Brooklyn to contribute to the growing artistic movement.
BigRentz is proud to partner with Skyworks Equipment Rental to provide equipment to help PixelPancho, a remarkable street artist from Italy, complete his mural at 199 Starr Street.
Dallas Imbimbo, Co-Founder and CEO of BigRentz, said that he is honored to help support this vibrant community-based project.
“The Bushwick Collective offers a meaningful way to allow creative expression in a manner that is deeply personal to the people of the community,” Imbimbo commented. “We are proud to be a part of this passionate and culturally-rich initiative.”
Garry Westerweller, Branch Manager at Skyworks, commented, “I’m thrilled to help The Bushwick Collective in their ongoing quest to create a prominent community of living art, right here in Brooklyn. The vision shared by Joe and the leaders of the Collective, along with the artists that contribute their time and expertise, is truly extraordinary.”
