Team BigRentz Surpasses Fundraising Goal for American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer
IRVINE, Ca. – October 23, 2017 – A team of BigRentz employees recently completed the Making Strides of Orange County event, surpassing its fundraising goal of $1,500. The team, led by collection specialist Amanda Mesa, raised $1,655 for the American Cancer Society’s fight against breast cancer. The Making Strides 3-5 mile non-competitive walks take place across the country to celebrate breast cancer survivors and raise awareness for research and fundraising efforts.
“Our BigRentz staff embraces the opportunity to serve our community and causes, and this is a great example of an employee-led initiative that produced an amazing result,” said Jim Arabia, Vice President of Marketing at BigRentz. “We say all the time that it’s our people that make BigRentz great, and we couldn’t be happier to support the individuals that represented BigRentz during Making Strides of Orange County.”
“Cancer is something that is personal to so many people at our company,” said Mesa, leader of Team BigRentz. “We were excited to participate in the event and support the American Cancer Society, which is helping people every day to reduce risks and find answer. Service is a foundation of our company culture, and I’m grateful for the support of our leadership team and the difference that our teammates and their families continue to make in the fight against breast cancer.”
